While one is in pursuit of excellence there is no scope for compromise. “Dream it big,” is what a teacher/superior has to remind his students / staff members around him. But this cannot happen by mere platitudes. He has to support them fully and create an environment where excellence is a way of life. In such a place, shoddy work has no place. Motivated students / staff members themselves would reject any such compromise knowing fully that there is no room for short cuts or shoddy work.
It was a hot, sweaty and suffocating afternoon. Not a bird in sky, only the sound of some dogs barking at the sun perhaps showing their anger at the injustice in creating such an unpleasant weather for them to bear.
Most of us take the big vow — now and then — to make monumental changes in our life. This ‘occurs’ because we may not be happy with the way things seem to be working at a given point of time. This also has more to it than ‘turning a new leaf.’

Conflict resolution is not easy. It invokes worst emotions in us. It immediately puts our egos in the front. Some thing roars inside: “HOW DARE”. Ego clash, this is what it is. He pulls up his chest, I puff up mine. We are on the road of unending conflict. Does it benefit individuals or the humanity?
